Q & A
If you knew then, what you know now, what would you tell yourself in high school?
Don’t look back on mistakes but use them to make yourself a better person. Take all the tough classes in high school to prepare you for the rigor of college studying.
What is your favorite high school memory?
Band and Show Choir Trips, SODA/TRY events, Homecoming events (floats, parade, dance).
What are you still embarrassed about?
Have you seen those senior pictures?? I couldn’t be noticed without my “specs”.
How would your classmates complete the sentence about you “Most
likely to ….”
Be a teacher!
How would your teachers complete the sentence about you “Most
likely
to ….”
Always be smiling and making others laugh!
Who did you admire?
My parents, they raised my brothers and I to find our individual personality and interests and supported us in reaching for our dreams, and through the highest and lowest times.
What did you do in your spare time?
I watched the Linn-Mar Lions.
Did anything in high school prepare you for what you’re doing now?
So many great teachers and administrators at Linn-Mar helped to mold my belief system as an educator. Being able to work alongside them today is a privilege.
If you could change anything about your alma mater, what would it be?
There are so many great things about Linn-Mar today. We’ve got excellence in our mission and it’s not easy to get to excellent. But “excellence” is evolving. I’d to see us help each student find excellence in their own way, to come up with individualized plans for helping every student use Linn-Mar’s tremendous resources in their own way, to bring out their unique gifts.
